How long is a session?
Standard consultations are 1 hour. For complex cases where there are two or more issues please allow up to 90 minutes for your first appointment.
Can I claim part of the cost on private health insurance?
Yes. The initial consultation (item code 500) and subsequent consultations (item code 505) can be claimed.
Am I eligible for the Enhanced Primary Care plan?
If your pain is chronic you are likely to be eligible to receive up to five appointments per calendar year, partially funded by Medicare. This plan is given by your GP and it enables you to have $52.95 off your appointment.
You will be required to pay the full amount for your appointment on the day. We will process your Medicare claim, and your rebate will be credited into a cheque or savings account within 24 hours. Please be mindful that the EPC plan will not cover the full amount of your consult.
Initial Consultation cost: $120 (1 hour)

Do you offer discounts for pension card holders?
Yes. Just present your card at your appointment.
How does acupuncture work?
It improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites--commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints. The most common method used to stimulate acupoints is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin.
What do I bring?
It is helpful that you bring along any medical info you have. This includes a doctors referral or management plans, reports from scans and other documents that relate to the specific condition you are seeking treatment for.
