Small Group Guidelines
Your small group is one of the most meaningful parts of this course, a space for genuine connection, shared learning, and supporting one another as you move through the material together.
HOW WE SHOW UP FOR EACH OTHER
1. Speak from your own awareness in the moment; what's arising for you in your body, your practice, your learning, rather than intellectualising or speaking in generalities.
2. Offer presence, not advice, unless it's specifically asked for. This is what creates the safety for real connection to happen.
3. Stay present and mindful of time, so there's space for everyone in the group to be heard and to expand their own understanding through the group.
4. Honor confidentiality. What's shared in the group stays in the group. If you need to reference something outside it, share only from your own experience.
5. Listen fully, noticing what arises within you both as you listen and as you speak. This is co-regulation and learning in practice.
LOGISTICS
-
In your first session, we recommend to take 10–15 minutes to cover meeting rhythm, communication, roles, and how you'll support each other.
-
We encourage your group to meet every other week for the 12 week course in weeks 2, 5, 6, 8, 10 & 12. All materials and prompts for each meeting are live in one place and located in your student portal.
-
If you're unable to attend, please give your group a heads-up in advance via [group's chosen channel]. A small act of care that keeps the group's health and trust intact.
-
If your group is struggling to find a workable meeting time across timezones, reach out to the Program Manager. We're glad to help find a better fit.
IF SOMETHING ISN'T WORKING
-
If something about your group's rhythm or dynamic isn't feeling right, we encourage you to raise it with your group directly and with care.
-
If it's something you can't work through together, or it doesn't sit right with the spirit of this work, reach out directly to the Program Manager ([email protected])
-
For technical issues or other feedback, email [email protected].
We're so glad you're part of this community and we hope your small group becomes one of your favorite parts of the course.
